Odyssey Ai-DUAL Jailbird ½ Ball Cruiser: Odyssey's Hottest Shape, Built for Stability
The Jailbird is the shape that has dominated on Tour and in shops for the last couple of years. This version adds Odyssey's ½ Ball alignment to the Versa high-contrast pattern, framing the ball to help you center contact and start putts on line. The Ai-DUAL insert delivers consistent ball speed and better forward roll, and the 38" Cruiser build adds a heavier, more stable feel.
Why Golfers Love It
- ½ Ball and Versa alignment frame the ball for easier aim
- Ai-DUAL two-layer insert for consistent speed and better roll
- Face-balanced double bend for strokes with minimal arc
- 38" Cruiser build with a 17" grip you can choke down on
- Available right- or left-handed
Technology Breakdown
Ai-DUAL Insert
Odyssey used artificial intelligence to design this two-layer insert: a soft urethane outer layer over a firm inner layer. You get consistent ball speed on off-center strikes, better forward roll and a soft, responsive feel.

New FRD Groove
The Forward Roll Design groove is deeper and more aggressive, with a 19° slope. It works with the dual-layer insert to get the ball rolling forward sooner, wherever you strike the face.

SL 140 Shaft
The heavier SL 140 shaft is matched to the heavier head for a heavier overall build that helps keep the stroke smooth.

Cruiser Grip
The 17" Cruiser grip lets you choke down to whatever length feels most comfortable and stable at address.

Who It's For
Golfers who want maximum alignment help and a heavier, steadier stroke, including those exploring an arm-lock style setup.
FAQ
Why is a Cruiser putter 38 inches?
The Cruiser build is longer and heavier, with a 17" grip made to be choked down on. Grip it at whatever length feels comfortable. The extra weight and length add stability through the stroke.
Face balanced or toe hang: which do I need?
Odyssey designs face-balanced double bend putters for strokes with minimal arc and face rotation. If your stroke has more arc, a toe-hang model may suit you better.
