Launch Monitors

How to choose a golf launch monitor

Choose a golf launch monitor around the way you practice, not just the longest feature list. Start with where you will use it, which numbers you want to track, and whether you want a golf simulator as well as practice feedback. This collection brings together options from Garmin, Bushnell, SkyTrak, FlightScope and other golf-technology brands.

Match the monitor to your practice space

For a home setup, check the manufacturer's requirements for ceiling height, swing clearance, ball position and the space around the hitting area before ordering. For range use, consider portability, battery requirements and how you will view your results. Indoor and outdoor support varies by model; do not assume every unit works in the same setup.

Compare the data and the complete setup

Make a shortlist of the information you actually need: carry distance, ball speed, launch angle, spin or club data. Then check the specific model, package and subscription for those measurements. Ball-data and ball-and-club-data options are not interchangeable, and simulator software, compatible devices or accessories can affect the overall setup.

For two starting points, explore the Garmin Approach R50 launch monitor and simulator and the Bushnell Launch Pro. Compare each product's current specifications and options rather than assuming their features or software are the same.

Make your practice more purposeful

Pair the numbers with a clear practice goal. Our golf training aids offer another way to work on specific parts of your swing and putting routine. If you are planning a simulator space or deciding between monitors, ask our team about the features and setup you are considering.
